The support you have shown me and VoterPAC this past month is inspiring.

And it’s because of you that we were able to blow past our critical End of Month goal.

I’ve told you before, transparency in the efforts of VoterPAC is so important to me -- so I’d like to take this moment to share with you one of the biggest highlights from the last month.

In July, we witnessed Texas Democrats take a gallant stand in their state to stop one of the most destructive voter suppression bills we’ve seen.

100% of you who took our July Priorities Survey said you stand with these Democratic lawmakers in their fight for voting rights.

So to discuss these critical efforts, I created a special event with two leaders in Texas who are aiding these brave lawmakers in their efforts -- Congressman Marc Veasey, Chair of the Voting Rights Caucus, and activist Beto O’Rourke, leader of Powered by the People.

Here are just 3 crucial takeaways from this event:

1) No matter where you live, there will always be a fight to protect the right to vote for every American.
2) Making sure every eligible voter is registered is the best way to ensure our democracy prospers.
3) At the end of the day, showing up, engaging with your community, and LISTENING to each other is ultimately what is going to help change the minds of those who are against voter expansion.

Here at VoterPAC, we aim to do just that -- organize on the ground to help register scores of voters across the Central Valley.
