Dear John,
New York Republicans are keeping up our fight to ensure Cuomo is held accountable for his numerous crimes and corruption. Chairman Langworthy is continuing his travels around the state to put pressure on the Democrat legislature to allow articles of impeachment to be brought to the floor for a vote. On Monday, Chairman Langworthy was in Rockland County, where he was joined by Assemblyman Mike Lawler and County Executive Ed Day for a press conference putting a spotlight on Speaker Heastie's protection of Cuomo and refusal to act. The evidence is there in plain sight, yet Speaker Heastie has joined Corrupt Cuomo in downplaying the Attorney General's investigation and refusing to commit to action despite what her findings are. Every New Yorker should be paying attention to not just the atrocities that Cuomo committed, but to the cabal of corrupt legislators who are choosing to protect his power over doing what's best for you, the taxpayer. Their actions throughout these scandals will be on the ballot next November when they are forced to face the voters.
Chairman Langworthy continued his travels through the Hudson Valley to hold an event in support of Westchester County Republicans where he endorsed and helped rally the vote for County Executive candidate Christine Sculti and the slate of Republicans running for the board of legislators. George Latimer and one-Party Democrat rule have been disastrous for Westchester taxpayers & this is the team that will stop their radical tax and spend agenda. Read more about Christine's candidacy below.
We have great Republicans running in local races all across New York State who are fighting for a common-sense agenda. If you believe that taxpayers should be respected and dangerous criminals belong behind bars, then please join our fight to help elect them and stop the insane policies that are destroying our state.
We value all of your feedback and questions.
Don't forget to hit the button below and send in any questions you may have for Chairman Langworthy and we will feature one in next week's newsletter!

Question from Last Week:
From Hank: If the legislature had the votes to impeach, why has it not just been done already??
Answer: Thank you for submitting your question, Hank! It's the Assembly's responsibility to introduce articles of impeachment, and unfortunately, like all legislation that gets voted on, those articles cannot be brought to the floor for a full vote without Speaker Heastie's allowance. The Speaker has been a known ally of the governor and his recent comments that downplayed the Attorney General's investigation and made clear that the Assembly would not commit to action, regardless of her findings were deeply disturbing and indicative of the protection this governor has enjoyed from some of his fellow Democrat lawmakers. That's why we are fighting so hard to put pressure on them to act. We are urging all New Yorkers who care about justice for Cuomo's victims to help us by calling the Speaker's office and demanding they bring impeachment articles to the floor for a vote. 518-455-3791.

Every week we are choosing a candidate to highlight who needs your support!
Christine Sculti
Candidate- Westchester County Executive
Christine is a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in both government and the private sector. Christine was the highest-ranking woman in County Executive Robert P. Astorino’s administration, which cut taxes and kept spending flat over eight years. She has also served as Chair/CEO of the Westchester County Taxi & Limousine Commission, as Assistant to the Mayor of Yonkers and as New York’s Mid-Hudson Regional Director of Economic Development.
As vice president of a family-owned business and a corporate executive for an international business, Christine’s learned the importance of reducing regulations and keeping taxes low to ensure local businesses grow and thrive. She faced adversity when her family business office was destroyed in the first attack on the World Trade Center. Present for the deadly explosion, the traumatic experience led her to public service.
A lifelong Westchester resident, Christine graduated from Fordham University. Dedicated to community service, she has served on the Hudson River Valley Greenway Board, Harrison Board of Assessors, Rye Rotary and the Mamaroneck Village Tree Committee. Currently, she is the Vice-Chair of the St. Pio Foundation, lives in Harrison and is a parishioner at Church of the Resurrection in Rye.

The state GOP chair was in Rockland Monday standing alongside other Republicans and calling on Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign, saying there are too many strikes against him. New York Republicans are putting heat on Albany for either Gov. Cuomo to resign or for the state's impeachment probe to move quicker. "We saw federal impeachments move at a very serious speed level, yet they couldn't wait to get out of session and shut things down in June," says New York State Republican Committee Chairman Nick Langworthy. The impeachment probe began in March. It was launched amid allegations that Gov. Cuomo’s office covered up of nursing home deaths and sexual harassment claims against the governor, which are being investigated by the attorney general.

On Monday in Rockland County, NYGOP Chairman Nick Langworthy was joined by Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Assemblyman Michael Lawler to address the latest comments by Speaker Heastie on the Assembly’s impeachment investigation. "We have a corrupt Governor and a speaker who is protecting him. It's over four months now. And everything that has happened since then would have any reasonable person draw the conclusion that this investigation is a sham," Langworthy said. Langworthy believes Heastie prejudged the investigation and set the table to not act on a possible impeachment. "It's just insane. It shows how cooked Albany is. Andrew Cuomo is the most corrupt and sinister governor in America," Langworthy said. "The evidence is in plain sight. The votes are in place to impeach if the leadership had the courage to call a vote. The only thing standing in the way of justice is a Speaker who is refusing to act and saying even if the facts are presented by the Attorney General he still may not act. This should enrage every New Yorker."

Republicans, at a 25-year weak point in Albany, see an opening. They’re reminding voters of scandals touching the governor. “He said we must believe all women. OK Governor, do we believe these women or not?” said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. Multiple women have accused the governor of inappropriate and unwelcome conduct. Investigators working for AG James may be close to wrapping up their probe and could issue a report soon. Assembly Republicans want to use the report as a springboard to Articles of Impeachment. “We don’t need to wait any further. We don’t need to extend an investigation into the fall or early next year. We have an obligation to act,” said Republican State Assemblyman Mike Lawler. Speaker Carl Heastie, a Democrat, said the Assembly’s investigation includes other issues, such as Cuomo’s order that some blame for nursing home deaths. “The Assembly investigation is broader, and has a broader mandate,” Cuomo said. The governor seems OK with it, which makes Republicans suspicious. “This investigation is a sham designed to buy the governor time and make you forget what he’s done,” said New York GOP Chairman Nick Langworthy.

As New York Governor Andrew Cuomo faces public scrutiny and state investigations, this week he displayed confidence of seeking a fourth term. However, for the first time in his political career, Cuomo was beaten by a New York Republican who surpassed his campaign fundraising this year. Republican challenger Congressman Lee Zeldin raised $4 million in three months. Cuomo raised $2.5 in the past six months.

How about that: Assembly Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Lavine actually slapped Rich Azzopardi, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s loyal spokesthug, for bad-mouthing state Attorney General Tish James, who’s overseeing a key investigation into the many sexual harassment claims against the gov. Lavine (D-LI) is overseeing the Assembly’s own (incredibly slow-moving) impeachment probe of Cuomo, over the sex stuff as well as the coverup of nursing home deaths while the gov was negotiating his $5 million book deal. So it was entirely appropriate for him to write Azzopardi to put him officially on notice (again) of potential “severe repercussions.” Specifically, Lavine moved after Azzopardi tweeted that James “says she may run against the governor” as the spokesman sought to downplay The Post’s report that Transport Workers Union International president John Samuelsen says he’s “over” Cuomo.

|
Meanwhile, suspicion is growing that the unhurried progress of the Assembly investigation is a deliberate attempt to buy time for Mr. Cuomo. Mr. Heastie’s suggestion that Ms. James’ report will be just another ingredient in this slowly cooking stew only added to those concerns. Mr. Heastie could have — and should have — allayed the concerns by stressing the need for urgency, given the cloud hanging over state government and the governor. He didn’t. The problem, then, isn’t just what Mr. Heastie said. It’s what he didn’t say. But still could — and should.
