Andrews Distributing of Fort Worth, Texas, received an award of merit for manufacturing from the Engineering News-Record of Texas and Louisiana. Unconventional sequencing and green building practices helped the team on the $61-million project construct a facility that would consolidate multiple Fort Worth locations and meet environmental standards.

Equal pay sparking boom in number of female truckers

Women are flocking to an industry you might not expect: trucking. According to the American Trucking Association, there were 234,234 female truckers counted in 2018. Cannabis producer destroys $77 million worth of weed inventory to gain regulatory approval

The cannabis producer CannTrust Holdings said it planned to destroy $65 million worth of weed inventory and roughly $12 million worth of "biological assets" like plants in an attempt to gain regulatory approval in Canada. CannTrust lost its licenses to sell and produce cannabis on September 17 after Health Canada found that multiple facilities weren't compliant with pot-growth regulations.
