John -

Growing up in Fort Worth’s historic Como neighborhood, I did not dream about being an elected official. I just hoped that one day I would be able to make a difference in the lives of my friends and neighbors. Today, that goal has taken me all the way to the halls of Congress, where I am proud to represent hundreds of thousands of diverse voices across North Texas.

And John, I am committed to protecting your access to the ballot box. In Congress, I authored a bill to ensure that absentee ballots may be mailed free of postage, fought to designate the month of September as “National Voting Rights Month”, and Co-sponsored the “For the People Act” and the “John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act”. Under the Biden Administration I have been empowered to fight harder in my role as the founding chair of the Congressional Voting Rights Caucus.

But in Texas, Greg Abbott believes that his voter suppression bill will have a better chance of passing during a special session when less people are watching. However, protecting voters from being silenced does not begin or end at Abbott’s desk.

John, your financial contributions to my campaign impact my election to Congress in a big way. I hope that I have earned your support in the 2022 election cycle.

Will you make a contribution to my campaign today so that I can continue my voter protection work after the 117th Congress? There is so much work left to be done to ensure that all Americans have the right to exercise our most fundamental of rights.

Serving in Congress is a great privilege. I am honored to have been chosen to represent the people of the 33rd Congressional District in Washington, DC. I remain committed to protecting access to the ballot box and working to strengthen our voter protection initiatives in the 2022 cycle and beyond.

Sincerely,

Marc Veasey
