Last week, we emailed you about Officer Michael Fanone's harrowing experience on January 6. Now, thanks to Nancy Pelosi's select committee, we're learning more about what law enforcement experienced at the hands of the insurrectionists and the betrayal they've felt from Republicans in Congress.
Take a look at what Officer Fanone shared during Tuesday's hearing:
"The indifference shown to my colleagues is disgraceful [...] Nothing has prepared me to address those elected members of our government who continue to deny the events of that day and in doing so betray their oath of office."
Donald Trump and the Treason Caucus incited the attack on our democracy on January 6. Their downplaying or denial of the events is not only disrespectful to the officers who put their lives on the line that day -- it shows that our democracy is in danger.
To protect our democracy, we cannot allow these dangerous Republicans to remain in office. Chip in before our end-of-month deadline to help us defeat the Treason Caucus.

"I have kids."
That's what Officer Michael Fanone cried out -- fearing for his life -- as he was tortured and beaten by insurrectionists on January 6.
Fanone was tasered, beaten with a flagpole, dragged down steps, and had his badge stolen off his chest. The attack resulted in Fanone suffering a heart attack and concussion, and it has left him with PTSD and a traumatic brain injury.
This is the horrifying reality of the violence that officers faced from Trump supporters on January 6. But instead of rallying behind the officers who served and denouncing the attacks, the Treason Caucus has tried to minimize and move on from the dangerous events that they incited. They claim to support the police, but on January 6, they put politics before everyone’s safety, and before democracy.
Fanone said what's been most difficult for him after the attack is seeing lawmakers downplay or lie about the attack for their own gain. He wants the lies to stop, saying "I experienced firsthand an insurrection inspired by the head of our executive branch, Donald Trump, and his co-workers."
The Treason Caucus has made it clear they'll do whatever it takes to rewrite history and escape accountability. Their disrespect to the officers is disgusting and unacceptable. We need to show them we won't stand for it.
Add your name to stand with Officer Fanone and all others who served on January 6 and denounce the actions of the Treason Caucus.
