Hi team -- I wanted to make sure you saw this recent headline from Politico:
As Politico writes, there’s been a recent “wave of legislation moving through GOP-controlled legislatures that’s intended to combat progressive policymaking at the ballot box.”
They’ve seen our 20 wins through people powered ballot measure campaigns -- and now they want to change the rules, attacking our voting rights.
Friend, we’re ready to fight back. But we need your help before Saturday’s critical deadline.
These extremist politicians are so out-of-touch that they’ll do anything to attack our voting rights and block our campaigns: requiring 60% instead of a simple majority, making it way more expensive to run people-powered campaigns, and even ignoring the results of elections.
We’ve set a goal of 75 grassroots donations before the month closes so we have what it takes to respond to these attacks.
We know that the power of the people is stronger than the special interests and the extremist politicians -- but we need you by our side during this critical moment.
