Nancy Pelosi might be moving forward with a select committee to investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol but let's not forget: 35 Republican Senators and 175 House Republicans (including 139 Treason Caucus members) voted against an independent investigation.

Why? It's simple -- these Republicans spread Donald Trump's lies about the election being stolen. Their actions led directly to a white supremacist mob violently storming the Capitol. They know they're responsible for the darkest day in our democracy's history, but they don't want anyone else to realize it.

Congressional Republicans will do whatever it takes to escape accountability for January 6. We can't allow them to get away with it. While Pelosi's committee uncovers the truth about the Capitol insurrection, we need to make sure Americans remember who the Treason Caucus are.
