This is the first in a series of emails highlighting some of our strong Democrats who are running for the Virginia House of Delegates in 2021. I hope you'll take a look and consider joining me in support of these great candidates.

Friend,

Today, I’m writing to you about three great candidates running to represent their districts in the Virginia House of Delegates. Each of them brings a wealth of unique experience and passion to their campaigns. I hope you’ll consider supporting them by making a split donation here as we work to continue our progress and keep Virginia blue this November. [[link removed]]

The first candidate I want to highlight is Briana Sewell: Briana is running to represent Virginia families in the 51st District, across Prince William County. She’s the daughter of two U.S. Air Force Veterans who served our country with distinction, and she’s spent her career fighting at the local level for bipartisan policies like paid family and medical leave, lower cost child care, affordable job training, and affordable elder care options.

Briana currently serves as Chief of Staff to the County Chair, and before that was a community organizer and District Director for Congressman Gerry Connolly -- so she’s been listening to her constituents’ concerns for her entire professional life.

Please chip in whatever you can afford to support Briana Sewell, candidate for House of Delegates, 51st District. [[link removed]]

The next candidate is Michelle Maldonado: Michelle is a mother and a military spouse to a U.S. Air Force Veteran, running to represent the 50th District. Like Briana, Michelle comes from a military family and understands the meaning of service. She’s also a small business owner who designs training and support programs for other public servants through an equity lens.

Michelle is running to help her district emerge from the pandemic while creating an economy that works for everyone, supporting our teachers and schools, and improving her district’s transportation and infrastructure.

Please chip in whatever you can afford to support Michelle Maldonado, candidate for House of Delegates, 50th District. [[link removed]]

The final candidate I’d like to highlight today is Irene Shin: Irene is the daughter of Korean immigrants who was inspired to fight for affordable health care access for all Virginians after watching a cancer diagnosis nearly bankrupt her family.

Irene directs a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing progressive policies like Medicaid expansion and voting rights. And now, she wants to fight for those policies in the Virginia House of Delegates.

Please chip in whatever you can afford to support Irene Shin, Candidate for House of Delegates, 86th District. [[link removed]]

These three women will be amazing leaders for our Commonwealth, and I’m so proud to support their campaigns. Electing Briana, Michelle, and Irene would be another great step forward in Virginia’s progress toward strong, diverse leadership in Richmond.

Thanks for reading, and for supporting strong Democrats across Virginia.
