Amazon is firing its delivery firms following people's deaths

Amazon has abruptly canceled its contracts with three major delivery firms, a move that will put more than 2,000 people out of work and may signal a shift in how the online retail giant plans to deliver millions of packages to homes across the country every day. The contract terminations follow recent investigations of Amazon’s fast-growing delivery network which focused on how the intense financial and deadline pressure Amazon puts on its growing fleet of independent delivery contractors can lead to worker mistreatment and threaten public safety.

AdvoCare fined $150 million as FTC calls it a pyramid scheme

AdvoCare International, a multi-level marketing company known for endorsements by professional athletes and other celebrities, will pay $150 million to settle government claims it's an illegal pyramid scheme where most of those selling its products earned nothing or lost money. The FTC contends AdvoCare, provider of diet supplements and energy drinks, offered consumers the chance to "earn unlimited income, attain financial freedom, and quit their regular job. It also alleges the company pressured sellers to bring in new distributors to purchase large amounts of products.

Boston Beer Company reformulates all Truly Hard Seltzer flavors, plans to launch lemonade seltzer in 2020

Boston Beer announced today the reformulation of all 13 Truly flavors in an effort to make them “crisper and more refreshing.” This is at least the second time the company has tweaked the flavor since launching the product in 2016. The company also revealed plans to release a Truly-branded line of lemonade hard seltzers in 2020.
