Here’s how Cawthorn spent his donors’ money:

• $4,059 for "hotel, travel and event space" at a luxury hotel in Florida.
• $370.69 on “staff attire” at J. Crew.
• $60,000 in campaign salary payments to his close friend and Chief of Staff -- whose primary prior work experience was operating a few fireworks stands in Texas.

Cawthorn may be living large now -- but it’s just the latest proof he’s totally out of touch with this district. The people of Western North Carolina don’t want an elite Congressman who spends his time raising money just to waste it. They want someone who knows their struggles and will do whatever it takes to give them a little more breathing room.

The same day that this report exposed Cawthorn’s spending, the first deposits of the expanded Child Tax Credit were delivered to working families across Western NC. That’s a monthly direct cash payment of $300 per child to help cover groceries, diapers, childcare, and more. And Madison Cawthorn proudly voted against it.
