Bird

John,

New studies are rolling in with devastating news: 3 billion birds have disappeared in North America alone over the past 50 years. Dozens of species have been affected, even some of our frequent backyard visitors like blackbirds and meadowlarks.

Will you pledge your support for conservation solutions to save America’s birds?

Birds play a vital role in our environment and ecosystems as pollinators, seed dispersers, pest predators, and prey. Their disappearance is the canary in the coal mine. We must take action now to recover and protect wildlife before the extinction crisis gets out of control.

Please add your name today to stand with our important efforts to protect and recover birds.

With the help of passionate friends of wildlife like you, we will continue to:

  • Fight for bipartisan solutions that will protect birds and all wildlife — such as the Recovering America’s Wildlife Act
  • Create and certify habitats for birds with food, water, shelter, and a place to raise their young through the Certified Wildlife Habitat program
  • Educate students on the importance of birds and other wildlife — and how to protect them — through the Eco-Schools USA Biodiversity Framework
  • Advance other programs to support recovery and protection for declining species like meadowlarks.

We’ve lost 3 billion birds, but there’s still time to reverse this alarming trend. Together, we can shed light on this dire situation. Together, we can work towards a solution that protects birds and other wildlife in an ever changing world.

John, please add your name to our pledge to help America’s birds.

Sincerely,
The National Wildlife Federation Membership Team
