In a time of intense polarization, increased xenophobia, and sustained bigotry across the country, many leaders and groups stand at odds with our community. But there is one group that has stood up for us time and time again: The Squad.

We have been proud to support Rep. Ilhan Omar and Rep. Rashida Tlaib in their groundbreaking campaigns for Congress. We have had the pleasure of hearing from one of our most outspoken allies, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, at the Emgage NY Metro Chapter Launch last year.

And now, Emgage PAC is proud to host a fundraiser in support of Rep. Ayanna Pressley.

Rep. Pressley has stood side-by-side with Rashida and Ilhan time and time again as they both faced racist, bigoted attacks for being Muslim women of color in Congress. She has stood up for Black Americans, including our Black Muslim brothers and sisters, facing systemic racism across the country. And she has stood in solidarity with Palestinians facing many of the same human rights violations that Black communities face in the United States.

Supporting Muslim American candidates is an essential piece of the puzzle- but when those Muslim American candidates become lawmakers, they cannot pass legislation alone. They need allies with shared values who will stand with them. They need lawmakers like Ayanna Pressley.

That is why I am calling on you to join us this Thursday to hear from the Congresswoman herself.
