Check out the latest from NYGOP Volume 22 | July 17th, 2021 This Week at the NYGOP Follow Us On Social Media! ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ Dear John, Our mission to remove Andrew Cuomo from office hit a monumental milestone this week. For the first time ever, Republicans have far outraised Andrew Cuomo in this latest fundraising period. Our Presumptive NYGOP nominee, Congressman Lee Zeldin raised an eye-popping $4 million dollars in only 3 months, beating Cuomo by almost double in half the time. New Yorkers are ready for change and this is our chance to elect a Republican governor who will restore New York to greatness. Voters are fed up with the rampant crime, highest taxes, and declining quality of life. Our Party represents a return to common sense after the failed radical agenda given to us by one-Party Democrat rule. Meanwhile, Andrew Cuomo remains as corrupt as ever. This week, New Yorkers learned that the Cuomo administration is STILL cooking the books by underreporting COVID deaths. This governor has no shame and no remorse. There is no line he won't cross in pursuit of his power and image. But the fight to hold him accountable continues. Today, he is finally being deposed by the Attorney General's investigators on the numerous allegations of sexual harassment and abuse that have been made against him. For the first time, he will be forced to answer questions under oath and not be able to squirm out of giving answers with his word games and obfuscation. If you need any insight into the heat Cuomo is feeling, look no further than his lapdog spokesperson's attacks against his accusers and the Attorney General in their attempt to delegitimize the investigation and subsequent findings. We also learned this week that Cuomo has spent nearly $1 million of YOUR tax dollars so far on criminal defense lawyers. Chairman Langworthy blasted this outrageous expense to taxpayers who should not be on the hook for the defense of this corrupt governor and called on him to use his $5.1 million of blood money from his crooked book deal to fund his legal bills. New Yorkers have had enough and with your continued help, we will send Andrew Cuomo packing once and for all in 2022! We value all of your feedback and questions. Don't forget to hit the button below and send in any questions you may have for Chairman Langworthy and we will feature one in next week's newsletter! NYGOP Team Ask a Question! Question from Last Week: From Timothy: The White House basically admitted to working with big tech towards censoring what they say is "fake news." What can we do about this government-sanctioned political censorship? Answer: Thanks for your question, Timothy. It should surprise no one to learn that the White House and big-Tech companies have been colluding on what they view as appropriate speech, but it should scare you. We cannot let corporate media, the left and big-Tech be the ones to decide what is or isn't misinformation. You'll remember it was not long ago that they were labeling covid originating from a Wuhan lab as misinformation. Just this week, a Facebook post on our NYGOP page detailing Biden's failed economic policies was blocked and flagged as disinformation when everything said was 100% verifiable. This is a dangerous assault on our First Amendment rights and cannot be allowed to continue unchecked. We should all support President Trump's lawsuit against these companies and their CEO's and the efforts of Republicans in Congress to change the laws so these companies are held accountable. NYGOP Presumptive Nominee Lee Zeldin has OUTRAISED Andrew Cuomo! Help us defeat anti-police, pro-criminal, radical politicians! From Day One, the NYGOP has stood firmly with crime victims and our brave heroes in law enforcement, while Democrats chose the side of the criminals. Now, they must be held accountable on Election Day. If you believe in our message of safety and security, now is the time to step up and help us deliver change. Take a stand against this liberal insanity by chipping in $10, $25, $50 or whatever you can afford to help us save New York City and New York State. Donate Today! Candidate of the Week! Why should the taxpayers be on the hook to defend him for abusing resources?” seethed New York Republican Party Chairman Nick Langworthy. “I saw plenty of emails over the weekend where he was shilling for funds — I think he should dip into that 5.1 million dollars that he unethically made writing that book because the taxpayers have paid enough already. They don’t need to pay for a crooked governor’s defense, it’s absurd,” he said. Read Full Here Zeldin outpaces Cuomo in NY gubernatorial fundraising fight Fox News Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin of New York announced that he’s brought in over $4 million in fundraising since he launched a 2022 campaign for governor of New York. Zeldin, a staunch ally of former President Trump and a four-term lawmaker who represents the state’s 1st Congressional District in the eastern half of Long Island, announced his candidacy on April 8 during an appearance on Fox News’ "Fox and Friends," and quickly raised in $1 million in his first day as a gubernatorial candidate. The congressman’s haul easily outpaced the roughly $2.5 million embattled three-term Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo raised during the first six months of the year. Zeldin’s team reported on Thursday that the congressman, who’s been busily campaigning across New York State the past three and a half months, received contributions from over 9,000 donors from all 62 of the state’s counties. The spotlighted Zeldin’s grassroots fundraising, saying that 94% of the total 12,500 donations were $250 or less. Read Full Here Andrew Cuomo to be questioned in state sexual harassment probe New York Post Gov. Andrew Cuomo is set to be grilled this weekend as part of an independent state probe into allegations he sexually harassed current and former female aides, a source familiar with the matter said Thursday. Outside lawyers hired by state Attorney General Letitia James plan to question Cuomo in Albany on Saturday, the source said. The move may be a sign that the four-month investigation is entering its final stages, according to the New York Times, which first reported the development. But Cuomo and other witnesses could still be re-interviewed depending on what he says and what other evidence is uncovered, the Times said. James is on track, however, to issue a report on the findings by the end of the summer, a person familiar with the probe told the Times. Read Full Here NY COVID death toll 11,000 less than federal government’s count of state virus fatalities PIX 11 The federal government’s count of those who died of COVID-19 in New York has 11,000 more victims than the tally publicized by the administration of Gov. Andrew Cuomo, which has stuck with a far more conservative approach to counting virus-related deaths. The discrepancy in death counts has continued to widen this year, according to an Associated Press review. NY sees continued uptick in COVID positivity rate as delta concerns grow New York state’s official death count was 43,018 on Tuesday. But the state has provided the federal government with data showing roughly 54,000 people have died with COVID-19 as a cause or contributing factor listed on their death certificate. Experts say differing death tolls fuels public distrust in the nation’s pandemic response. Read Full Here NYC hobbles Democrats’ narrative on state voting reforms Washington Times New York City’s embarrassing recent mayoral primary underscores the absurdity of the recent debate over voting in America. In attacking states’ recent voting reforms, Democrats and their mainstream media enablers have obscured America’s fundamental voting rights problem: Scattered yet significant pockets of incompetent local election administration. Democrats failed in their initial smears against states like Georgia by claiming that their legislation limited early voting and imposed onerous ID requirements. Democrats had to shift to another line of attack after it was proven that the Georgia bill actually expanded early voting and that its common-sense ID requirements were extremely popular and wouldn’t disenfranchise voters. You hear very little now about the attacks on early voting. Even outlets like The Washington Post have had to stealth edit and correct articles that made claims these laws limited early voting. In an extreme flip-flop, some Democrats have even begun to shamelessly claim support for voter ID laws, presumably after accepting their incredible popularity.
