GREATER GEORGIA CELEBRATES STRONG CONSERVATIVE WIN IN HD34 SPECIAL ELECTION AFTER MONTHS-LONG VOTER MOBILIZATION CAMPAIGN

ATLANTA  Today, Greater Georgia congratulates Representative-elect Devan Seabaugh (R) on his resounding victory in the State House District 34 special election tonight. This hard-fought win comes after a months-long push by Greater Georgia to secure a conservative win through grassroots outreach and engagement. Since April, Greater Georgia has been on the ground, registering new conservative-leaning voters and working to get out the vote via door-knocking, text-messaging, phone-banking, and mail as part of the organization's larger efforts.

"I congratulate Representative-elect Devan Seabaugh on his hard-earned – and much-deserved – victory in State House District 34 as a champion for pro-growth, conservative values under the Gold Dome," said Chairwoman Kelly Loeffler. "From the outset of this special election, Greater Georgia began organizing a mass-mobilization effort to help build awareness and get out the vote. Between our registration and voter outreach efforts, we engaged thousands of voters to help successfully defend this seat. We also applaud the efforts of the Cobb County Republican Party, led by Chairwoman Salleigh Grubbs, and appreciate all the hard work from the outstanding group of grassroots activists. Greater Georgia will build on this momentum by continuing to register new voters, engage diverse communities, and strengthen election integrity in our state."

Greater Georgia launched in February as a voter education and mobilization organization focused on registering new voters, engaging diverse communities, and defending election integrity, as well as advocating on a number of other issues. As part of these efforts, key metrics in the HD34 special election include:

  • Efforts helped conservatives overperform from 2020 race by 7 percentage points
  • Made 132,105 contacts with voters in HD34
  • Contacted 8,687 people in total
  • Knocked 4,323 doors
  • Assembled a team of 49 volunteers to mobilize voters and amplify the conservative message
  • Hosted five phone-banking sessions
  • Hosted three days of action supporting volunteer efforts
