Axios: “Efforts to recall school board members are surging around the U.S. -- and especially in California -- amid efforts to quash teaching about institutional racism.”
According to the report, fifty-one K-12 school board recall elections have been launched in states across the country -- more than double the annual average. And these recall fights are being fueled by far-right white nationalists and former members of the Trump Justice Department.
We must counter attempts to whitewash American history by teaching students about the historic realities of slavery and racism in the United States. But as always, white Christian nationalists are terrified of pluralism and the truth. Make no mistake, white Christian nationalists are leading this movement to indoctrinate our kids with white supremacy. We want to fight back, but we need your help.
