Today, we’re sounding the alarm in Texas. We’re asking our allies in Texas to sign on to our petition to save democracy and #StopSB1. Texas Democrats are working hard right now to deny a Republican quorum to block this bill, but all of us can do our part to help.

The Democrats in Texas have been fighting this bill for months and the Texas GOP just brought it back and started an overtime legislative session to jam it through.

This is one of the most comprehensive voter suppression bills we’ve ever seen. They’re going after everything:

• Outlaw drive-thru voting (which 1-in-10 voters used in 2020)
• Regulate early voting hours
• Ban distribution of mail-in ballot applications
• They’re even adding in monthly voter roll purges.

We can’t let Texas suppress the vote. We saw how close elections in Texas can be -- and we can win everyone gets to cast their vote. We know you may not be in Texas, but you can help get our #StopSB1 petition in front of as many people as possible.
