Experts have identified two important reasons why Republicans are favored to take back the House in 2022.

First, Democrats hold the White House. History shows that in the average midterm election, the president’s party loses 27 House seats.

Second, redistricting. Republicans will control the redrawing of Congressional lines in 187 districts in 2021 and will take every opportunity to give themselves an advantage.
