Dear John, It was the first time in a little more than two decades that a Republican had taken City Hall when I was elected Mayor of New York City in 1993. Two decades of Democrat rule had resulted in an unprecedented crime surge and a financial crisis the likes of which hadn’t been seen since the Great Depression. Things aren’t much different today. Violent crimes, including murders, robberies, and burglaries, are soaring throughout the five boroughs, with Democrats advocating for more cuts to the NYPD. Despite this, Democrats also just passed the largest budget in New York City history. They are truly out of control. HELP CURTIS WIN When I ran for Mayor, I pledged to clean up the mess by being tough on crime and fighting to root out the rampant corruption that had plagued City Hall.
