- A long-standing practice in the halls of the Texas Capitol, taxpayer-funded lobbying refers to cities, counties, and other local governments or taxing entities spending money to lobby the legislature. Paul Bettencourt’s Senate Bill 2.

- It is with great sadness that we at Empower Texans pause to note the passing of Debbie Terry, and offer our deepest condolences to her family.
- Mrs. Terry was a passionate promoter of conservative principles; her love of Texas and Texans was evident to everyone she met. A member of the State Republican Executive Committee from Denton County, Debbie Terry was a long-time grassroots activist and dear friend to many of us at Empower Texans. Her joyful commitment to the Lone Star State will be deeply missed.
