The record-high and dangerous temperatures we’re seeing across the country make it incredibly clear and urgent: We need to address the climate crisis now.
This increase in extreme weather events is one of the many reasons why I support a Green New Deal that will not only help us transition away from fossil fuels to 100% clean and renewable energy by 2030, but expand the sustainable energy industry, create millions of good-paying union jobs, and rebuild our crumbling infrastructure.
If we want to have any chance at stopping climate change, we need to act now.
