,
Just writing you a note from our house in Cherrywood. On Thursday my mom picked Coco up from school and she's been watching her this weekend as Julie and I have been out campaigning -- I've been out knocking doors all weekend and Julie has been barnstorming all over the place.
To the many of you who I've gotten to meet, and to those that I haven't, I just wanted to express our gratitude for showing up and for supporting this campaign. Thank you. I feel so incredibly lucky that I get to meet amazing people everywhere I go, and that so many people have contributed their energy, their money, and their time -- most valuable thing any of us have -- to this campaign.
With a huge and historic Democratic Primary looming, efforts to get out the vote will be fierce. We need to make sure Julie can spend her time meeting people in every community in this district, by knocking on doors and holding events. It is such a better use of her time than dialing for dollars to raise money - which is how traditional Congressional campaign strategists tell candidates to spend all of their time.
As we move into October, if you are able, please consider making a donation to Julie's campaign. ([link removed])
Even better, I ask that you help us reach new voters that can support us going into 2020.
Encourage your family and friends to sign up for updates at Julie's website (julieoliver.org), to stay up to date, to sign up to volunteer, make a donation, and to help us to make 2019 a year for the books.
We're going to settle in and try to watch something good on Netflix before bed, but I just wanted to tell everyone how much we appreciate your support.
Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.
Thank you,
Matt
