At least a third of all Republicans currently running for office in 2022—including 136 Republican incumbents—have embraced Trump’s “Big Lie” that the election was stolen from him. In fact, many are making it the centerpiece of their campaigns.
These Republicans want to make sure that in 2024, they have a majority that’s ready to overturn the results of the election if a Democrat wins again. The first step of their scheme is taking back the House next year.
