Mitch McConnell just admitted what we all know about Republicans representing rural communities: they aren't looking out for their constituents. Here’s what he told his folks in Kentucky about the relief bill that Democrats passed without any Republican support:

“Not a single member of my party voted for it. So, you're going to get a lot more money. I didn't vote for it but you're going to get a lot more money.”

-Mitch McConnell

It's true. Republicans didn’t act in rural America’s best interest when every single one of them voted against the relief bill. But thankfully, Democrats got it done.

Rural communities deserve better than Republicans who are only looking out for themselves, their campaign cash, and Donald Trump.

This is exactly why I started BACKROADS PAC—our mission is to endorse, train, and invest in rural Democrats running against Republicans. Will you contribute to our efforts by pitching in anything you can today?
