January 6, 2021 is a date that will go down in infamy. Violent insurrectionists stormed our nation’s Capitol – and we should ask tough questions about why it happened and how to stop another event like it from ever happening again.

But Republicans blocked efforts to establish an independent commission that would finally lay out all the facts surrounding what happened in the U.S. Capitol that day. And they’ve slammed the door in the faces of Capitol police officers who have begged them to investigate.

So House Democrats stepped up and formed a bipartisan select committee to launch an inquiry into the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. What do you think? Do you support the House's efforts to form a bipartisan select committee on the January 6 attack? [[link removed]]

YES → [[link removed]] NO → [[link removed]]

We already know that far-right factions of the Republican Party laid the groundwork for the insurrection to take place. But we don’t know the extent of direct assistance to the mob that broke into the Capitol. We won’t get down to the bottom of it unless we investigate.

This Republican Party has shown time and time again they don’t care about the truth. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy has even issued a threat to his own party that they will be stripped of committee assignments if they accept a position on the select committee from Speaker Pelosi.

In the end, only 2 Republicans voted in favor of establishing the bipartisan select committee.

I won’t back down from finding the truth here. I won’t be satisfied until we know the whole truth of the insurrection and figure out how to stop anything like it from happening again.
