Hi friend,
The UK is chairing climate negotiations happening this autumn. Global leaders will meet in Glasgow for the summit, known as COP26, and will decide the continuing fate of the planet.
But can there be climate justice without debt justice?

As extreme weather events become more common, countries that have contributed least to the climate crisis are increasingly feeling its effects. Hit by the pandemic, many of the same countries are already having to divert billions of dollars to paying off mounting debts.
It’s a perfect storm, and leaders from poorer countries are starting to speak out, how can they deal with the climate crisis without debt relief?

There is no time to waste. That is why a group of young people are walking from Cornwall to Glasgow, as part of a national relay to take their message to world leaders.
To celebrate their half-way point we are co-hosting this webinar to highlight voices on the frontlines in the global South.
Join us and hear why to have effective climate justice, there needs to be debt cancellation.
Look forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes,
Skye Golding, Organiser
