Dear John,

The pundits like to think that New York City is a “blue” city. As usual, they are wrong.

New York City is a commonsense city. A “no B.S.” city. A diverse city that does not care where you came from or what school you went to as long as you work hard and honor your word.

And a city that will elect a Republican mayor in November.

John, I am the Republican nominee for mayor, and I will win because I will (hopefully) have your help and because I am running on the issues that actually matter to New Yorkers like reducing crime, solving our homeless problem, and restoring fiscal common sense to city government.

Though I am well known for being the famously anti-crime founder of the Guardian Angels and a radio host, I am not pretentious (or corrupt!) like a lot of the elected officials who are running for higher office.

Do we really want our next mayor to be another career politician like Bill de Blasio? Or do we want our next mayor to have poured blood, sweat, and tears (literally) into this city? If you prefer the latter, then I am your guy.  I have a red beret and a big, bold, no B.S. plan to take back our city and usher in our best days yet. Are you with me?

If you are, please join my team with a contribution of $25, $50, $100, $175, $250, $500, $1,000, $1,500, or even the maximum $2,000 today so we can campaign hard in all five boroughs all summer long. Contributions of up to $250 are eligible for an 8-1 match with public financingThis means a $250 contribution could actually result in a $2,000 boost to my campaign fund, so please be as generous as you can.

Our resounding primary victory created incredible momentum for our campaign, and we must keep this surge going strong right up until Election Day.

We will win in November because I have dedicated 42 years of my life to the people of New York City. That is my focus -- the people.  Not partisan politics. Unlike career politicians, I do not just talk the talk, I walk the walk. (And ride the subway -- which has gotten far too dangerous -- but more on this later).

I can, I have, and I will, but only with your help!

Sincerely,

Curtis Sliwa
P.S.  New York City is not a blue city. It is a red, white, and blue city full of hard-working people hoping to achieve their own American dream -- or at least walk the streets without getting shot or ride the subway without getting mugged. Bill de Blasio and career politicians have left us to twist in the wind. Not anymore. Not on my watch. Please rush back your contribution of $25, $50, $100, $175, $250, $500, $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, or some other amount today so we can take back our city. And remember... contributions of up to $250 are eligible for an 8-1 match with public financing.
