 Hi team, Yesterday we faced a big end-of-quarter fundraising deadline, and with your help, we hit our grassroots fundraising goal. Thanks to all of you for chipping in, spreading the word about us, and supporting our work. We’ve only been able to win 20 people-powered ballot initiative campaigns for health care, higher wages, and paid leave thanks to this amazing grassroots team. Thank you! I also wanted to share some exciting news: today, Medicaid expansion officially begins in Oklahoma! Last year, our campaign helped Oklahoma voters expand Medicaid at the ballot box after their politicians refused to act. And today, hundreds of thousands of hardworking Oklahomans can get the care they need. They’ll no longer have to choose between seeing a doctor and paying rent or putting food on the table. Friend, I’ll be honest: days like today are the most exciting moments at The Fairness Project. Our years of hard work -- organizing, building coalitions, collecting signatures, knocking on doors -- begin to pay off. Thousands of lives will begin to change for the better this week, thanks to the work we all did together. To put it simply, elections matter. I’m so grateful to have you alongside us in this work.
