Dear John,

A lot’s changed in Williamson County since I first ran for state representative in 2014. At the time there was only one open Democrat in office in the entire county and we hadn’t won a partisan race in years. And at the county level, it had been decades.

Through hard work, grassroots organizing, and the continued commitment of people like you across our community, change has come to Williamson County.

We flipped this seat blue in 2018 along with my deskmate Rep. James Talarico. We’ve picked up seats on school boards and city councils, won a few Justice of the Peace races, and elected our first Democratic county commissioner in over 20 years. We still have a lot of work ahead of us. Together, we will continue to build on our gains and fight for progress in 2022.

Today is our first fundraising deadline of the campaign cycle. As we prepare for multiple special sessions and gear up to fight back against gerrymandering and for a tough re-election campaign, I’m asking for your support to show the strength of our movement.

John, can I count on you to donate before tonight’s deadline?

We know the Republicans are coming after us with everything they’ve got, but we have the power of the people on our side. I wouldn’t want to be in this fight without you.

All the best,

John
