John,

ASBC-SVC invite you to join us for Mind the (30x2030) Gap: Why Biodiversity Matters for Business with Joel Johnson (E.O. Wilson Biodiversity Foundation), Linda Behnken (Alaska Longline Fishermen’s Association), Marissa Merculieff and Lauren Divine (Aleut Community of St. Paul Island), and David Levine (ASBC), moderated by Annarie Lyles (Bio-Gist Ventures, LLC).

International support is growing to protect 30% of Earth by 2030, on the way to Half Earth. Thirty nations have already achieved the 30% goal and the USA is roughly half-way there, with more protected ocean than land. For the USA, closing this gap in less than a decade is not trivial! In this one hour program, we will explore why biodiversity matters for the private sector along with potential opportunities for business people to help close the gap. Also hear about ASBC’s newly launched initiative, Businesses for Conservation and Climate Action, which is working to advance community based & indigenous priorities that balance just and sustainable economies with nature conservation.

Join us to learn about the 30x2030 goals, and to hear from peers who are thinking about how private enterprise can align with these goals for outcomes that benefit people, planet and business in the NEXT Economy.
