John,

Governor Cooper vetoed NC Senate Bill 43! NEXT STEP: making sure NC lawmakers support his veto.

SB 43 (1) makes it legal to carry a weapon onto school property when that property is connected with a religious place of worship. Please click here to ask your lawmakers to support Governor Cooper's veto of SB 43!

Why is SB 43 dangerous? Guns should not be brought into any NC buildings used as schools. There have been almost 100 cases of firearms misused at schools since 2014 nation-wide.(2) These include cases where adults unintentionally fire guns, or leave them behind in restrooms or classrooms where they are later found by children.

Click here and ask your lawmakers to keep NC school children safe by supporting Gov. Cooper's veto of SB 43.

Thank you for protecting NC school kids from gun violence!

Becky,
NCGV Action
