I announced my candidacy for mayor on March 26th. Since then, we have been working hard to gain name recognition, build a campaign, fundraise, knock on doors, go to house parties, attend forums and debates, and well, you get the point: We've been working hard. And now? Voters are paying attention, they're liking that I offer a deep focus on the work at hand, a willingness to bring everyone to the table, and have years of experience in public service. We're gaining momentum every day, and it feels great!

I thought I'd share some of the highlights of just this past week:

1. I had a great profile in the Press Herald. Read that here ([link removed]) .

2. The Forecaster ([link removed]) also did a feature on my candidacy.

3. Yesterday morning was the Eggs & Issues debate hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. You can watch the video from that here ([link removed]) . My favorite part of that event was getting to talk with Baxter Academy students after; I hope one of those girls is on that stage in the near future!

4. WMTW did a feature on my race. You can watch that here ([link removed]) .

5.. On Wednesday I rode around Portland with Troy Bennett of the Bangor Daily News in a motorcycle sidecar. Yes, really! The video from that will be out next week, but here's a sneak peek:
