Every year on Father's Day, I think of my own father and how influential he was in my life.

Many people knew my dad, Murray Ferguson, as an active community member, local archives enthusiast, and a wonderful father for his seven children.

His memory is very much alive as I parent my own kids, Jack and Katie. Whether it's scrambling up one of Washington’s 100 highest peaks with Jack, or sitting on a bucket catching Katie's fastball — I know my most important job is to be their dad.
