We're working hard for our slate of powerful progressive leaders throughout region.
Maya Wiley is surging in her run for Mayor of New York and it couldn't have come at a better time. With the recent endorsements of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Jamaal Bowman, and a long list of other prominent leaders and organizations, Maya has momentum going into Election Day and DFA members and other on the ground supporters are doing everything we can to get out the vote right now.
Alvin Bragg is running for Manhattan DA and he'll fight side by side with Maya to reform the NYC police department and hold cops accountable when they break the law. They aren't the only progressive champions working to win. We're also supporting:
- Johanna Garcia, Lattina Brown, and Leslie Boghosian Murphy for NYC City Council
- Rob Ramos for Brooklyn Borough President
- India Walton for the Mayor of Buffalo
Winning these elections in New York, especially electing the first Black female mayor of New York City in history, will have an impact across the entire country. Each of these leaders are ready to fight for working people, for justice and equity, and an economy that works for everyone on day one. But first, we have to win.
