Hey John! I wanted to follow up on this really quick.
I’m definitely anxious about the future—especially knowing that the climate crisis is going to keep harming communities like mine the most. But seeing the impacts of Power Shift Network’s work training, supporting, and connecting young climate leaders has been giving me a lot of hope. But we can’t keep it up without your support.
Can you help us meet our goal of 125 monthly donors by chipping in what you can today? Even $10/month is going to make a big difference.
For example, back in April, I helped our small team organize Power Shift 2021—a virtual convergence that brought more than 1,600 young people from across the globe together. They were trained in organizing and campaigning skills; learned about politics and history; and took action in their communities. More than half of our attendees—and 72% of presenters—were Black, Indigenous, or people of color (BIPOC).
Power Shift '21 was such a powerful representation of what makes PSN’s work so special and so necessary—especially right now. Record-breaking fire and hurricane seasons could be right around the corner, and our political leaders’ window of action is narrowing. Now more than ever, we need the resilient, intersectional climate justice movement that PSN is building.
Investing in leadership for the long haul needs sustained support. Can we count on your monthly gift at this critical moment?
Thank you so much,
Saren, Political Education & Trainings Coordinator
