Senator Ron Johnson (WI) is at it again, John.

Over the weekend, Senator Johnson appeared on Fox News where he claimed January 6 wasn't an insurrection because some of the participants were "staying within the roped lines" and were in a "jovial mood." Is Ron Johnson a liar or just plain stupid?

This isn't the first time Senator Johnson has tried to downplay or dismiss the attack on our democracy. In March, he called the insurrectionists "people that love this country, that truly respect law enforcement." Last month, he said it was "by and large a peaceful protest" and he was one of the senators to filibuster the creation of a bipartisan commission to investigate the insurrection.

We've seen the videos, Senator Johnson. January 6 was not a peaceful protest. It was a violent attack on our democracy that resulted in five deaths and over one hundred injuries.

Senator Johnson and his ridiculous claims are a danger to our democracy. The good news is we have the chance to replace him next year with a leader who will defend our democracy, but we need your help.
