Chances are, this summer will prove how true this really is.

That’s because Trump is telling associates that he will be reinstated in August. Yes, to the presidency. By a military coup.

The MAGA movement is all about mass indoctrination. It has been since the beginning and it’s clear that Trump has no intention of slowing down. And why should he? He’s got nothing to worry about in D.C. and his party is rolling out the next generation of their 3-ring circus giving him cover for whatever he wants to cook up.

Already this year, Mitch McConnell’s protecting Trump by calling in personal favors to stop the formation of the January 6th commission in order to hide the full truth about what happened that day. And the only reason he’s doing it? He’s scared of Trump.

Why doesn't he want a commission to investigate what happened that day?

He knows Josh Hawley and Ted Cruz will be implicated. But more importantly, he knows that literally every part of his base - from the grassroots that Trump has full control over to the big corporations who are too cowardly to stand up to them - are in lockstep with Trump.

If this investigation happens McConnell will no longer be able to deny that our democracy was attacked. Which, as we all know, brings us back to Trump.

Since Trump left office, he’s proven he’s more powerful than ever. Not only does he have McConnell doing his bidding on Capitol Hill, his cult is waiting and ready to do anything he wants them to do. They’ve adopted his ideology and identity and are sitting at home right now thinking that their President had his election stolen from him. That the election was stolen from them.

And when the heat arrives this summer, their minds aren’t going to consider global warming like you or I might...they’re going to be thinking about how they can attend Trump’s inauguration. They’re going to be looking for signs that they have been enlisted to make it happen.

And, Friend, I know how absolutely ludicrous this sounds. But think back over the last five years and you can easily come up with something you never thought you’d see happen in our country, from our leadership, in our White House. Stuart often says Trump happened because we all lacked the imagination to understand how far the GOP would go. Fast forward five years and here we are.

This summer is going to bring out a whole new level of “I never would have imagined.” We’ll be right here with you to break it down and show you how you can take real action to fight back. Because if we don’t… who will?
