Hey John,
We’re excited to share that there are three new organizers joining the Power Shift Network team! We’re looking forward to new voices that will help ground us in relationship building across state lines, healing justice work, and much more. Learn more about the new additions to our team...
Jasmine Butler, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, is intimately familiar not only with how racism and capitalism seeks to ruin our communities, but also how many other social issues intersect deeply with our fight for a just climate future. Jasmine is also a recent Dartmouth graduate and has been part of the PSN family as a Regional Recruitment Coordinator during our most recent convergence.

Kayla Soren, hailing from Kentucky, has been part of the network for years— as a Member Organization Representative for the International Student Environmental Coalition, Steering Committee Member, and programming team member for Power Shift 2021. Kayla is a bridge builder who has a lot of different connections to different movements including transit equity, the labor movement, and international organizing.

Vic Barrett, originally from New York and now based in Minneapolis, has been dedicated to climate justice and intersectionality for seven years and has even testified to congress with Greta Thunberg and Jamie Margolin. Vic is also one of 21 youth activists suing the government to take action on climate change in the case Juliana Vs. United States.
We’re thrilled to have new voices on our staff that will dedicate their time working closely with our network members and building out their own projects to continue expanding PSN’s role in the movement. With the extra capacity they’re bringing we’re looking forward to expanding our programming, focusing on deepening our network democracy processes, and deepening relationships and connections within and across our network.
Stay tuned for announcements about upcoming training series, webinars and other exciting programming we’ve got on the horizon.
