Hi team -- Our campaign isn’t under any illusion that Boebert is going to be easy to defeat. Despite the crazy headlines, she’s an extremely competitive candidate in CO-03. But rest assured -- we’ve got a game plan to beat her in 2022.

I’ve put together a campaign plan for your review, but if you don’t have time to read it, just know we’ve got to have the campaign funds to put our plan into action. Can we count on you to chip in to power this campaign and persuade the voters we need to flip CO-03 blue?

Step 1: Court Unaffiliated Voters

Unaffiliated CO-03 voters were the deciding votes that sent Lauren Boebert to Congress.

Although unaffiliated voters in our district often lean Republican -- a lot of them disagree with Boebert’s conspiracy-fueled rhetoric and extremist voting record in Congress. And we know Donald’s a candidate they’d be willing to support if they learn more about his record.

“... if Democrats want a chance to oust Boebert next year, they should focus on winning over and turning out more unaffiliated voters. But it’s a tricky group to persuade, given that many unaffiliated voters often have a partisan preference.” (Colorado Sun)

If we want to flip this district -- we need to convince unaffiliated voters not only that Lauren isn’t working for them, but that Donald Valdez’s leadership has delivered for them on the issues that matter to them most.

Step 2: Get MORE voters to the polls

In 2020, voter turnout wasn’t where we needed it to be for Democrats to beat Boebert.

That’s why we’re investing early in our ground game to get more Democrats and left-leaning voters to the polls for Donald. Just look at this wake-up call:

Lauren Boebert's Margin of Victory: 26,512 Active registered Voters who didn't vote: 84,384

We can’t win if Democrats don’t show up. It’s clear: we need to do better to communicate early and often with folks who support Donald if we want to flip this competitive district blue.

We need to get more voters to the polls through targeted GOTV campaigns and outreach.

Step 3: Flip CO-03

John, the only way we’re going to flip this district and unseat Lauren Boebert is if we work together to court unaffiliated voters and make sure we get our supporters to the polls.

But, we can’t do that without your help! We need the resources to reach out to voters EARLIER than ever and make sure they know what Donald stands for -- and what progress Boebert stands in the way of.
