John –

The other week, we were thrilled to see President Biden fulfill his campaign promise and submit his budget without the Hyde Amendment – making him the first president to do so in decades.
Now we’re looking to Congress to keep this momentum going and pass federal spending bills without abortion coverage bans, including the Hyde Amendment. Can you send an email to your members of Congress and urge them to pass federal spending bills without abortion coverage bans, including the Hyde Amendment?

Barriers to abortion care, like the Hyde Amendment, have caused the greatest harm to Black, Indigenous, Latinx, and Asian communities. For far too long, anti-abortion politicians have used the Hyde Amendment to deny abortion coverage for people working to make ends meet. Passing federal spending bills without abortion coverage bans must be a racial and economic justice priority for our members of Congress.

It’s time for Congress to be bold – send a message to your members of Congress and urge them to pass federal spending bills without abortion coverage bans, including the Hyde Amendment.
