It's hard to believe where our nation was one year ago. While many of us are reuniting with loved ones and enjoying life after vaccination, it's easy to forget how cruelly the Trump administration treated science experts just one year ago.
The Washington Post has released Dr. Fauci's emails from March and April 2020. Among the chaotic emails from the early days of the pandemic lies a terrifying reality: Republicans knew their president was endangering our country.
In April 2020, a senior House Republican emailed Fauci to say, “Keep being a science truth teller.” This just goes to show that this House GOP “leader” was too afraid to speak up to Trump -- they allowed the country to descend into chaos instead of standing up to their president. Seriously -- imagine what would happen if our government's leadership fell into the GOP's hands again. Republicans have been working around the clock since election night to ensure they can gerrymander back the House, and they're suppressing voters to reclaim the Senate.
