Andrew Cuomo does the crime and New Yorkers pay for it... LITERALLY. After months of Cuomo's dodging, reporters finally got their hands on the contract with his white shoe criminal defense lawyers and the details are infuriating. Taxpayers are being forced to foot the bill for at least $2.5 million for his legal defense and that number could grow even higher. New Yorkers--mainly the 15,000 deceased seniors and their families who lost their lives at the hands of his deadly nursing home policy and coverup-- are the VICTIMS. It's outrageous that Cuomo has the power to make YOU pay his legal bills.

He can certainly afford it himself. After cashing in on his $5 million book deal on the graves of dead New Yorkers, Cuomo continues to abuse his power and put our state government up for sale. He is brazenly holding a $10,000 per person fundraiser in an attempt to win a fourth term. Anyone who would give to this corrupt governor who is under a torrent of investigations is either crooked themselves or has business before the state. Cuomo has raised millions this way, but it's this type of "legal" corruption that taxpayers wind up paying for. There aren't enough millions in the world to give Andrew Cuomo another term--New Yorkers are ready for CHANGE!


On the federal level, we saw another abysmal jobs report for the second month in a row. Underperforming in almost every category, it is undeniable that Joe Biden and Washington Democrats are systematically destroying the booming economy we enjoyed pre-covid and won't do what it takes to get our country back up and running again. Skyrocketing prices on household goods, a labor shortage crisis, and inflation are just the beginning of this economic nightmare. Republicans are fighting hard to block his radical tax and spend plan that will bankrupt America and take our country dangerously closer to socialism.

New York State Republican Committee Chairman Nick Langworthy said it was “absolutely infuriating that taxpayers are being forced to shell out $2.5 million” for his legal defense.
Mr. Cuomo retained Mr. Abramowitz in 2014 using campaign funds as federal prosecutors looked into the disbanding of an anti-corruption commission. The governor paid Mr. Abramowitz’s firm $650,000 over several years in connection with that matter, campaign disclosure reports show.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said Wednesday that the state is paying the bills for law firms to defend his administration in several investigations, including into accusations of sexual harassment against him and his handling of COVID-19 in nursing homes... State Republican Chairman Nick Langworthy said, "it's absolutely infuriating that taxpayers are being forced to shell out millions for his criminal defense" in the investigations.
Assemblyman Charles Lavine, who’s nominally in charge of the supposed Cuomo impeachment inquiry, admitted last week that there’s no end anywhere in sight. Nor will there be, until Speaker Carl Heastie decides he wants it. At just the third Judiciary Committee meeting to even pretend to address the issue since the ball supposedly started rolling in March, Lavine merely announced that the $250,000 for outside lawyers at Davis Polk & Wardwell is just the start; the Assembly will spend as much “as needed” on its investigation. Meanwhile, The Post’s Bernadette Hogan reported that Heastie dutifully played middleman when Gov. Andrew Cuomo wanted Assemblyman Ron Kim to walk back his truth-telling about the admission by top Cuomo aide Melissa DeRosa that Team Cuomo had intentionally kept legislators in the dark about the true COVID death toll in state nursing homes.

The fund-raiser, which will take place on June 29 at an undisclosed location in New York City, was advertised as a “summer reception” in a campaign email to supporters, who will need to fork over $10,000 per person, or $15,000 for two people, to attend. The mere act of holding a high-dollar, in-person fund-raiser after the end of the legislative session inflamed Mr. Cuomo’s critics, even as it underscored his everything-is-normal strategy in the face of several federal and state investigations into his personal conduct and the actions of his administration.

The Democrat’s greed would be stomach-turning even if there was no reason to suspect that the payday contributed to Cuomo’s long attempt to keep the true number of nursing home deaths in New York hidden. But there is.

Why, many of us wondered, would Cuomo lie about nursing home fatalities? What was the point? As it turns out, he had 5.1 million reasons to do so.
