Last week, the GOP blocked bipartisan legislation that would create a commission to investigate the events of January 6. The insurrection that occurred is one of the darkest days in our nation’s history, and we should do everything we can to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

The Republicans’ actions are hard to believe, and yet at the same time unsurprising. The party has spent the past four years in fear of getting on Donald Trump’s bad side.

But we won’t be swayed from our mission of the truth. Will you chip in to hold Republicans accountable by holding the House?

Republicans may have decided that they want to sweep the insurrection under the rug, but we’re still using all avenues available to us to determine what happened and how we can stop something like this from happening again in the future.

Dozens of officers were injured from the riots, and one died. Every day that I walk through the halls of Congress and see Capitol police officers doing their duty to their country, my resolve becomes stronger that I will never stop fighting for the truth.

Blocking the commission is an act of cowardice and is the same mentality that led our country astray under President Trump. President Biden has prioritized integrity instead of intimidation, and we need that from our leaders — in Congress and in the White House — now more than ever.
