The immigration crisis at our border is real...and is getting worse.  


Apprehensions of migrant families and unaccompanied children near the
U.S.-Mexico border continue to skyrocket, with U.S. authorities detaining or
turning away more than 100,000 people at at time. And John, this includes both
FAMILIES and MINORS.


This is not only putting the lives of Americans at risk, but the lives of
Mexican and Central American migrants, as well. 


I have no doubt that there is a major emergency at our southern border that
demands a solution now - but I need your help to make the point.

You see, John, my colleagues across the aisle want you to believe what's
happening on our southern border is a “fake crisis”. They would rather choose
to turn a blind eye than to protect the American values they were elected to
represent. In fact, they actually voted against the President’s emergency
declaration and refuse to fund ANY of the border wall. 


I cannot just stand by while they refuse to act. Congress needs to act NOW to
solve this crisis. Will you sign my petition to encourage Congress get to work

We MUST put partisan politics aside. And John, this inability to come together
on common sense border security has gone on far too long. Securing our borders
will ensure that we are keeping families safe on both sides of the wall and we
can finally put an end to the immigration crisis. 


We cannot afford to stand by while American families and those patiently
waiting to enter our country legally continue to be ignored.


This has simply gone on too long.


It’s time for Congress to GET REAL and get to work strengthening our border
security, provide our law enforcement officers with the resources they need to
keep us safe, change our broken asylum process, and create a system that
promotes adherence to our immigration laws.
