Dear Activist,

Last night, Governor Michael Dukakis emailed you about Blueprint to ‘22, our new, precinct by precinct, local organizing effort. It’s our plan to build a statewide coalition of trained, grassroots campaigners ready to mobilize for the Democrats in 2022 and make lasting contributions to their communities.

We're hosting a special relational organizing training session on June 16th, and we want you to be there. CLICK HERE to register for the session to get involved in Blueprint to ‘22.
Big plans like Blueprint to ‘22 are only possible with your support. We’ve been able to count on you in the past, so that's why I'm reaching out today.

After you register for this special training, CLICK HERE to use our creative assets and recruitment toolkit to post on social media, send an email to your list, and get your family, friends, and neighbors involved in Blueprint to ‘22.

Dear Activist,

For years, I’ve spoken of the importance of local organizing. Precinct by precinct, person to person campaigning that doesn’t just ask for a vote or a signature, but forms connections that outlast campaigns and election cycles. That’s why today, I’m proud to introduce you to Blueprint to ‘22, a new project from MassDems.

Blueprint to ‘22 builds on the solid, age-old principles of grassroots organizing. Over the coming months, the MassDems will help Grassroots Organizers build and strengthen their own 25-person volunteer corps with 5 organizing and community building projects, one for each quarter leading up to the 2022 election.

A statewide, grassroots effort is exactly what Democrats need to take back the Corner Office and win down the ballot next year. On June 16th, the MassDems are hosting the first Blueprint to ‘22 skill building session. Topics will focus on modern day door-to-door canvassing, precinct organizing and relational activities and I’m inviting you to join.

The idea behind organizing is simple. At its core, its goal is to build and nurture relationships; a volunteer reaching out to a friend, family member, or neighbor is often more persuasive than a volunteer reaching out to a stranger. When we take the time to get to know the people around us, we become better organizers, better communicators, and better allies, even after Election Day.

Through monthly training sessions that supplement each project, program participants will become expert Democratic campaigners by focusing on sustained, personal contact with their network. From field basics, to digital organizing, to management and leadership best practices, Blueprint to ‘22 skill-building sessions will be led by talented committee and campaign staff from Massachusetts and across the country.

As we get started, will you join the MassDems for special focused organizing training with Blueprint to ‘22 on June 16th? A grassroots, relational effort like Blueprint to ‘22  isn’t just how Democrats win the next election, it’s how we build a bigger, stronger coalition fighting for what we believe in: high-quality healthcare, good-paying jobs, a livable future, equity and justice for all, and more.

Sincerely,

Michael Dukakis
Former Massachusetts Governor
