Run for Something
Here's what Heritage said about Iowa voter suppression bill it helped write, including policy that put 294,000 voters on inactive status ''We did it quickly & we did it quietly. Honestly, nobody even noticed. My team looked at each other & we’re like, ‘It can’t be that easy.’''

Hi John,

So we know there are at least 361 anti-voter bills that have been introduced in state legislatures so far -- a huge increase from the same time period as last year.

Anyone paying attention can tell… this isn't a coincidence. And a newly leaked video of Heritage Action's executive director telling a room full of their mega-donors confirms what we've all known -- this is all part of a coordinated effort by the Right to take away our freedom to vote.

The question for us is: What are we going to do about it? Are we going to sit by and watch while voters and Democratic candidates are systematically locked out of power in our democracy? Are we going to make it easy for Heritage Action to take over our states and take away our rights?

Our answer: Hell NO.

Run for Something is recruiting, training, and supporting diverse, young progressive candidates who are determined to overcome the GOP's anti-voter attacks and take power back for the people. If you can, chip in $5 right now to get them the support they'll need to be successful.

We won't undersell it: Taking back enough power to stop anti-voter attacks will not be easy, John. Especially now that lying about the results of the 2020 election has become a sort of "litmus test" for Republicans. If they don't play ball and support the "Big Lie," they'll be ostracised and vilified by their own party or Trump himself.

No tears shed, of course. We're not here to advocate for Republicans who frankly made this bed for themselves and are using it to take away our freedom to vote.

But what this means for us is that we must work tirelessly to regain control of every state chamber in America.

And that's exactly what we're aiming to do: Challenge and defeat any and all Republican electeds and replace them with diverse, young progressives who are 100% dedicated to defending our freedom to vote.
