Do you remember the January 6 insurrection, John?

Republicans are certainly pretending not to. They claim that the deadly mob that invaded the Capitol was actually a “normal tourist visit” by “peaceful patriots,” and they are blocking any investigation into what happened that terrible day.

Make no mistake: the rioters broke windows to breach the Capitol, overwhelmed Capitol Police, ransacked offices, hunted for specific lawmakers, and chanted “Hang Mike Pence.” It was a violent insurrection.

Congressional Republicans are choosing the MAGA mob over our Democracy.
