John,
I’m reaching out today to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign, if your circumstances allow, before our end-of-month deadline – which is this upcoming Monday. My team has set a goal to raise $15,000 by then.
Let me explain why a contribution – of any amount – will make a huge difference for our movement (but if you’re ready to give, you can use this link: [link removed]).
This has been another big month for our movement. At the start of the month, Senator Elizabeth Warren and I rolled out the Universal Child Care and Early Learning Act, which would ensure that all children get off to a strong start — not just children with parents who can afford to pay for pricey child care.
And through my Policy Is Personal PAC, we have continued to endorse and support bold, progressive candidates like Nina Turner and Melanie Stansbury, who we need in Congress fighting for working people.
However, this month also brought a preview of some tough battles we have to come. House Republicans voted Liz Cheney out as Chair of their caucus for simply acknowledging reality — that President Biden won the election fair and square. The party of Donald Trump is alive and well, with or without him as president. For the sake of our democracy, we must keep Congress in Democratic control.
Also this month, the Supreme Court announced it would hear a case that may severely restrict abortion rights in this country — and result in Roe v. Wade being overturned. We need to keep the pressure on Congress and President Biden to expand the Court, because if we fail to act, we risk losing abortion rights, voting rights, and democracy itself.
Our movement has a lot of work to do, and I am working overtime to get it done.
But in order to keep up this fight, I have to ensure that my re-election campaign has the funds it needs to fight off any primary and Republican challengers. Last cycle, the field included several self-funded candidates trying to buy this seat. We have to prepare for that to happen again.
So if you can, please make a donation today to help us hit our $15,000 end-of-month goal so that I can remain focused on championing progressive priorities in Congress, not fundraising for re-election.
Thank you for your ongoing support. It is the honor of my life to serve in Congress, and I’m just getting started.
Onward,
Mondaire
