John, you know, the interesting thing about courage is that it's contagious.

When I look at last Wednesday's vote in the U.S. House to create a
non-political, bipartisan commission to study the Jan. 6th attack on the U.S.
Capitol building, it boggles my mind that so many Republicans could vote
against it.

But what I want to draw your attention to is the 35 Republicans who defied
orders from GOP leadership and voted for this commission. First it was 10 who
courageously stood up and voted for impeachment. Then it was more who voted to
keep Rep. Liz Cheney in leadership. And now this.

You see, what's happening here is more and more members are remembering who
they work for and they're voting their conscience to strengthen and heal
America. They don't work for McCarthy and McConnell - they work for the
American people who elected them.

I spoke about this recently if you'd like to watch a short clip here

This will continue to grow and in some part, it's thanks to the work we have
been doing to push back on the nonsense and instead, embrace truth and
integrity. But we still have a long way to go to heal our nation's politics and
refocus the GOP on offering Americans policy ideas and a hopeful vision for the
future.

John, I need your help to keep up the fight. The money we raise goes directly
into our advocacy work, helping us rally more supporters to fight for our
country. Anything you'd be willing to contribute to that effort is most
appreciated.

What happened Wednesday gives me hope that each of us has the power to make a
difference. If you live in a district represented by somebody who voted against
this, reach out and ask them why. If they feel enough pressure from their
constituents, just watch as they find their courage.

Together, we are making a real difference. Thank you for all that you're doing!

-John
