Friend –

The people of D.C. have been denied full and equal rights for more than 200 years. This year, we have seen more momentum than ever to correct this historical wrong, but we cannot win the fight alone. We need support from our neighbors and from across the country.

Join us this Thursday, May 27, at 5 p.m. ET, for a live talk with and for residents of Virginia, Maryland and D.C. on the ins-and-outs of statehood and hear why residents of Virginia and Maryland are showing up in solidarity for our equal rights.

Our Executive Director Monica Hopkins will be in conversation with Rep. Jamie Raskin, Member of Congress for Maryland's 8th Congressional District; Sabrina Sojourner, Former Shadow Representative for D.C.; and Phyllis Randall, Chair of the Board of Supervisors in Loudon County, Virginia. We will encourage you to ask questions before and during the event.
