AFCYRs October Meeting with Yesli Vega

Please join the Arlington/Falls Church Young Republicans on Monday, October 21, for their monthly meeting at Summers Restaurant. Their guest speaker will be candidate for Coles District Supervisor, Yesli Vega. She will speak to attendees about her experiences and how she will apply common-sense conservative solutions to the issues most important to families in the Coles District and Prince William County at-large.

Yesli Vega is a military wife, mother, former police officer and a Prince William County Sheriff’s Deputy who has dedicated her life to public service. Amongst her experiences, Yesli also became a Field Training Officer, was a certified Hostage Negotiator, and served as a member of the Crisis Intervention Team. She has additionally overseen department spending, helping hard-working taxpayers by making recommendations to reduce unnecessary spending. Yesli further strengthened her commitment to conservativism, free-market principles, and private property rights when she and her family moved to South Korea during her husband's deployment with the U.S. Army to counter constant threats from Communist North Korea. In addition to her career in law enforcement, Yesli has served the Prince William community as a mentor to at-risk youth through the Cal Ripken Foundation’s “Badges for Baseball” program.  She has also coached her daughter’s youth soccer teams, volunteered with Special Olympics, “Santa Cops”, and serves as the general Secretary of her church. She is a graduate of American Military University and the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy.

The doors will open at 6:30 pm for networking, drinks, and $6.49 burgers and fries - bring your Republican friends, coworkers, and interns!

Hosted by the Tennessee Young Republicans, our conference in Nashville will be filled with visits to the state capitol, fun trips to downtown and special guest speakers.  But, our most important work will be preparing the YRNF for the 2020 election cycle.

Our mission is to recruit, train, and elect Republicans. Together, we will make good use of our time in Nashville by developing our efforts to re-elect President Trump in 2020 and support for Republican candidates across the country.
